Any cruiser should have a cruise control.  [In my opinion!]  Who got em and who's wanting to show them?  Is Audiovox CCS-100 the one to own or some orther?  Share some pics and your opinions.
Thanks

Oh, as a side note!  How do I make my postings in real time instead of another time zone?

I have the Audiovox on my Interstate, love it. Real nice on long trips, holds the set speed with in a couple mph, even in the mountains.

I've had the Audiovox system on my Tourer for most of the time I've had the bike(going on 11 yrs.). I made a couple changes at the beginning on the wiring installation and have never had a problem. At the time, Autozone had a supply they were trying to unload due to lack of sales, so I spent less than $30 on mine. There are other systems out there but the cost is much, much higher....but are totally electronic rather than vacuum operated like the Audivox.

As for second question....generally won't happen. You'll find that on just about any public forum, the posting is time stamped according to the server location. Not always, but usually it is. Your post is time stamped at 06:17 which is most likely California time, and I'll bet it was 09:17 here in Florida when you posted it.

There's a member whose handle is TERMITE and whose profile has good email addresses...

He is some kind of contact for the same kind of cruise control that Frank Smoak used
to rave about... made in Australia I think...

I have an Audiovox in my '95 Ford truck that only gets driven once or twice a year to haul trash.  I'm thinking of removing it and using it on my new Valkyrie.  All I'd have to do is make a vaccum tank out of PVC pipe and do some improvising for the brake hydralic and throttle linkage.  Think I just might do that.

I have a question about board settings, as well?

At the present I am unable to post a ''reply'' or start a ''new topic'' as both of these buttons are nowhere,, to be found, on the page.

Weird because they were, there,,,, for several days, and I did,,, start a few threads a while back.

Now, the only way I can post is to click on the ''quote''  inside a previous post, erase the message, n' type in mine.

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread,,,    Undecided   but it's the only way I can post,,, at all.

I'm no computer wiz but have tried turning off all the safety crap on my puter n' still no luck..

Anyone ever had this problem, or have a suggestion on solving it?

Yes you can adjust it

Click on your '' name'' at the top left, of a post

 under ''modify profile''

click, on'' look n' layout''.

see, ''time offset'' and set it at 3 hrs.

at bottom of page click, ''change profile''...

Yer done.

My guess is you'll find Reply if you scroll all the way to the last post in a thread and look
down there in the list of buttons at the bottom right...

I make new threads by hitting home->general and then I can see a "new post" button...

I was going from memory, I didn't realize there was actually a button there called "general"... try this
for new posts...

home->"general board"

... replace "general board" with whatever board that's there that you want to post on...

I don't know what to say about the reply button... ?

Your "theme" seems very different from the one I use (I use "core")...

You can see what theme you have in profile->look-and-feel ...

I bet a moderator could get you fixed up in a jiffy if you ask...

Yes it IS made in Australia.

I put it on MGM during the winter of 1997/1998.

I has over 243K miles on it and as of this writing, Nary a problem with it.

I can set it on a long trip and it will run +2 to - 2 MPH.

It is all electronic, no vacuum can.

Yes, it is expensive, but for the value it has given me, it was well worth the time, trouble and $$$ to install it.    The installtion instructions are very detail  in nature, so no screw ups were done on my installation.

Did I say I loved this unit?   Well worth the $$$ for it, and yes I just love it to death.

In order to Start a new Post you have to be where all of the Threads are Posted and at the Top Left is a NEW TOPIC Button. You can 't start a New Topic While Reading Someone's Post and to Reply To a Post there is a REPLY Button at the Left Side of the Page at the Bottom of the Last Reply on the Subject Thread. Hope This Helps, Bert.

Just emailed you a contact phone number for the Michigan VRCC.  Searched all over the web trying to find any phone contact and found this one.  (313-768-5014 select #2 if recording)  Maybe they can help if it's a good number.  Funny how the Main VRCC doesn't have any personal contact info!  (None that I could find.)

To contact staff use this link on the lower part of this page.     http://www.vrccservices.com/contact/contact.php

That will get you in contact with the staff, they should be able to correct the problem.

The ''new topic'' or ''reply''  buttons (and several others I guess) were no where on the page.

So the only way I could reply was click Quote, erase the text, then fill in my reply.

No way, could I start a new thread,,,,,, at all.

Switching themes,,, solved it....

AHA!!!  Themes.....   I just use the default, so I couldn't repeat your problem.
Sometimes the page takes a while to load and the bottom of the page loads last.  I have seen that pretty often, but I don't think it is the site, but our connection here at work.  I like to click on the "Jump To" menu at the bottom right of posts to move to other parts of the site quickly and when the page loads slowly, that menu option doesn't show for a few seconds and I have to reload the page at times.
BUT, it's all good.

Rode the Valk to work today.  Life is good.
