:cooldude:Thanks Jerry and Sherry for hosting a great party.  It was nice meeting a bunch of Valkers.  Hope to get together again soon.  Really getting anxious to get the trike when we get home in the spring.

Back home at 1700. 168.8 miles round trip. Sherry and Jerry, thanks so much for hosting such a great event at your beautiful home in the woods. So nice to see all the wonderful people I have come to know and always nice meeting new folks. Spoke with many of you about the wide variety of Valks that show up to these gatherings. Everyone has put their individual tastes and style into their bikes. Every bike is different from the other and, sorry, not many other brands can claim that with their "cookie cutter" machines. Food was great, conversation was great and as usual, great people! Thanks Larue for the short cut over to the event. Nice sharing cigars and the wind with you and Pete over and back. Hope everyone arrives home safe and sound. Until next time..... Smiley  PS..missed you John!

Great pics of the gathering, sure missed being there although I would have had to use the car. We had a great time here as well, an early Thanksgiving due to conflicting work schedules later in the week. At one point we had 17 kids and adults in the house, all but four stayed here overnight. We had them stacked like cordwood.  Grin  Here's hoping I can make the next Valk gathering.

Thanks Jerry & Sherry, it was nice to put a face on some of the members. Hope everyone arrived home safe. We took and early ride to Sugarloaf mountain in Lake County before heading over .

It was a beautiful 250 mile round trip day for me and a few friends.

Thanks to Jerry and Sherry for hosting the lunch ride.  For me it was a pretty long day but I'm not complaining, it was a good day out after being sick for a couple of weeks.  Beautiful day started around 8:30 and got home around 5.  Met a lot of nice folks today, a lot for the first time.  If my calculations are close I did right at 300 miles.  A lot on I-75 which is not my most favorite route. Great to see so many nice bikes and different ideas.  Maybe we can get something going up this way in a few weeks.  Thanks to Bert and Sherry for leading us down.  Sorry about the GPS putting us on the dirt road and getting the bikes dirty.  Thanks to Rick and Christie for leading me out to out town.

Stopped on the way home for ice cream....no, not kidding! Combination vanilla/chocolate swirl in a waffle cone and didn't even get any on me.
Rode Dean Still Road on the way home with Larue and the boys. Peeled off at 27. Larue only speared two buzzards and some Spanish Moss with his helmet........slow day
Got home around 6PM or so. Rode Sugarloaf on the way back home as well. Made a Harley rider cry on the way (contest of acceleration) and in general, had a great day!
Thanks to our super hosts! Amazing hospitality. Was a pleasure to meet you and share grins.

Hell, Jess...........at least one of our guys was smart enough to bring shorts with him and change when we got there.
But if it makes ya' feel any better, it WAS cold this morning. My neighbor said she had to wait 'till almost 8AM before she turned on her Air Conditioning!

Hey...... it's a dirty word up here too.

No snow yet, but I got 40 knot winds.  Sure glad I got my yard all cleaned up so all the neighborhood leaves can blow into a clean yard.   tickedoff

Thanks for taking the photos Bill!
Can't say much more than others have already said. Great people, good times and still not able to talk to everyone, as much as ya'd like to. Great Florida riding weather today....!!!! Excellent turnout and we missed those that were unable to attend.
Jess, come on down, the sunshine is fine. I think you'd fit right in down here with us!

Thanks for the invite James.  Growing up my family was just another MI plate in FL every winter.  Been there many times, but not for many years (Miami, Marco Island, Punta Gorda Isles).  Last time in the 90's the motel said they didn't rent to Breakers.......... boy they were big liars.  (Ft Liquordale).

Wow, looks like I'm last to comment, but as I said in another thread, I had a great time, and it was terrific seeing everyone again. Bill it had been too long, and I'm happy that Murphy tagged along with you again. Rick, glad you and Kristie made the trip, and Viv and I just may show up in your neck of the woods, but we'd check in with you first. Doug, I really like the way your Valk turned out. Love that Black and Turqouise. Larue, thanks for knowing the "back way". Enjoyed sharing wind with you, Jeff, and Pappy on the way home. It was a great turnout, and I enjoyed seeing all of you. cooldude

Sherry and Jerry, you were the perfect hosts. Thanks again, and hope to see you all again at Bert and Sherrie's up in the Forest. John Schmidt, you were missed and your ears were most likely ringing because we sure had you on our minds.

Oh, almost forgot. Jeff, you know how you've not gone to triple digits on your Valk, and how my GPS had mysteriously locked in on a top speed of 113? Well, it's all fixed again. Seems I ran into an over-achiever on a H-D heading north on I-95 around Titusville. The 113 is now gone, but funny how now someone made the top speed read 116. Funny how that happens. Oh, and that guy on the H-D, well he dissappeared in my mirrows somewhere past 110. He finally caught up to me when I slowed down at Foxmoore to get off at the ramp to Rt 1. Gave me a big grin and a Thumbs up. It's hard top keep the Phat Gurl down!  Embarrassed Evil

Though I had planned on riding up for this, life got in the way BIG time and I was required to be elseware. Life is what happens to us while we're making other plans. Looking forward to next time. Looks like a heck-of-a-party and the weather was FINE for it. You are going to need a bigger yard for more parking Jerry and Sherry!

Way to shut the HD down Pete. I guess I'm just a little chicken to get the old girl going that fast. I went 90 once for a short burst but am usually a speed limit guy..maybe that's why I like riding with John so much.. Wink

Sherry and Jerry, enjoy the Holiday in your get-a-way diggs. Thanks again for having all of us and allowing us to invade your space.  cooldude

Glad your pump was easy. In CT we have a 300 foot deep well, and just pulling that much pipe and the pump up is a real PIA. Don't ask how I know. Embarrassed

John and Jennifer from Port Charlotte...

Thanks to Sherry and Jerry for being such fine hosts and for everyone for showing up.

If anyone is interested in a meet further down the coast in the future we'd be happy to try.
