I just installed the MCcruise control, and it works fine with a standard taillight bulb but doesn't function with the Kisan Tailblazer in place. Anyone know how to make them work together?

Garland,

I would point you to one of the Dealers.  You can contact Ron Soucy or Joe Sears http://www.mccruise.com/Motorcycle-Cruise-Control-Dealers-sp-12.html  Pharmboy bought ours and he had talked to one of them for quite some time about valkyries.  Apparently one of them owned a Valkyrie at one time or another and said he sure wish he never sold it.  I can't remember which one of those it was but I believe it was Joe with spoiledbiker.com.   I would call him or send him an email and he could tell you what you need to know.

Let us know how you were able to make it work.

I have a 128 LED taillight and it works just fine.........

If you look real close there are 2 flashing LED's on the license plate reflectors.

Garland, the simplest way to keep your LED tail lights and make the McCruise cut off when either brake is engaged is to go to the nearest auto store and buy a small bulb holder with two wires attached.  Also get any 5-10 watt bulb that fits the holder.  Connect one wire from the holder to your brake wire and the other wire on the holder to a ground.  Do Not cut the brake wire, just splice into it.  I did it all under the right side panel and secured the holder and bulb with tie wraps.  You may want to cover the bulb with dark tape or spray paint it black to keep from having a light under the side panel when you engage the brake.  The bulb gives the McCruise computer enough resistance so that it will disengage.

You can accomplish the same thing by using a 33-39 ohm 10 watt resistor hooked up as described above.  One of these was no where to be found in my neck of the woods, so I went with the bulb arrangement.  Should the bulb ever burn out, it is easily replaced...JTL
