Why the "older than" requirement?
How's this one?

After Norway in 2003 had to implement the EEA directive 2002/24/EF, it is completely impossible to get approved American motorcycles which was first registered in the U.S. after June 17th 2003 in Norway.

Odd.  Is that some emissions thing, or safety functions, or just a moneymaking bureaucratic thing?

It is just a moneymaking bureaucratic thing.
I can buy a newer bikes in Europe with exacltly the same specifications and than it´s no problem.
The only problem is when I buy from the US.
The required documents for last Valk I bought from the US cost me about $800,00

Nobody understand it and nobody can answer why  Lips Sealed

I've already done the Tampa to Houston thing once this year.  Houston to Tampa would at least be slightly different...

As for looking at one in Houston:  I think we might be able to find SOMEONE in the Houston area.  (:

Curious as how your VTX1800C quest is going, but changing the subject a little, what is the best shipping method for shipping a motorcycle from the States to Europe?  Have been considering going to Inzane in June.

I will get an "report" later today regarding a 2002 with 9K miles. $5.500.00

Seafreight from Miami to Oslo; about 4 weeks. Price Ca $700
Maybee seafreihgt from Houston to Rotterdam (Holland) is better?
Airfreight was about $1.000 but you will have to fill the fuel tank with water.
The Finish Inzane will be a great adventure!

I have to start over again   Angry
The two bikes that looked interesting are sold, I was too late.

If you see any 2002 or 2003 with low milage for sale I would appreciate if you give me hints.
