I'm still dealing with noise injected into my audio system from the Signal Minder. The link is here: http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,5867.0.html. I'll post a follow-up when I get it licked (sometime after InZane!) If you limit the Signal Minder to just turn signal canceling, or if you don't have hardwired radio/intercom then you'd likely be okay.

One more thing:

I used the metal wire springs (versus the foam springs) in the turn signal housing. As they come, the switch became way too stiff for me. I removed them and cut them down by a turn or turn-and-a-half. I'm much happier with the feel now. I still feel that I have to "hold" the turn signal switch for just a tad longer that I'd like when activating the signals. It definitely takes more than just a quick flick. I guess this means that I'm not 100% happy yet. My first Signal Minder was returned on RMA because it would not activate the turn signals when the brake was applied - not good!

I like BonS shortened the spring and put the unit in a plastic bag. The reason for the bag is when the thing would get wet it would do all sort of strange stuff. Like go into 4 way flash without notice and other things strange flashing that you cant turn off. The springs because I too couldn't get the thing to work properly with the full spring installed. I really like it though I have it set for 10 flashes and to keep flashing with brakes applied and have no problem. I also put leds 0n all corners and the thing helps because you dont need a resistor in line to flash with leds, but on the negative with leds only, it will keep one side flashing unless you take out the turn signal indicator. My new indicator is the reflection in my light bar lights. They do send you a led to put in the indicator but its not bright enough and I still have problems with flashing when its in. I will eventually mount a led in the top of the turn signal housing to indicate flashing. All in all I do recommend it, I can hold it for lane changes push quickly for the 10 flashes and I dont have to worry about canceling my signals. If I remember correctly they give you a hookup to put flashers leds in your mirror not the leds but the electrical connection for it.

My GL1800 has auto cancel signals, I find when I ride the Valk I forget a time or two and prolly

We put one on my Interstate, and tried to put one on Wizard's standard.  It won't work on the standard because it requires separate signal indicators, and the standard has one light to tell you a turn signal is on.

I've not noticed any trouble with my audio system, but then I rarely use it, prefering to run my iPod with headphones since the aux. jack on the radio quit working a few years ago.

It does cancel the turn signal, whether you're ready or not, it's on a timer.  Once it cancels the signal, you must still manually cancel it as well or you cannot signal again until you do.  I've always left me signal on when I pull into a gas station, because sometimes I'd forget which way I came in, and knowing I turned right to get into the station tells me which way I need to turn to go where I want instead of back the way I came.  You'd think I was a blonde or something!  Anyway .... it cancels the signal while the bike is off apparently, and I'm still getting used to the fact my turn signals don't want to work when I pull out of the station.

It also flashes the turn signals several times when the brakes are applied, unless the turn signal is on.

And it gives me four way flashers (and wigwags) with a little effort.  I've used them quite a bit since I got that feature.

Would I buy another one?  Probably not.  But I also have a habit of randomly "canceling" my turn signals as I drive down the road.  I'll do the cheaper four-ways on the other Valks.

I've had the Kisan signal minder (and vectralights) on my interstate for a few years, and I find it/them very, very helpful. I've had absolutely no trouble with audio or any other system because of it. Hope it helps.
