Woefman, Cheaha is the Alabama version of Inzane. About 100-150 Valkaholics converge on Cheaha State Park near Oxford, AL the first weekend of May. Lots of fun and Tim, Sherry and gang put on a great event. Cheaha's # is 256-488-5115 if you can get through. Put your name on the back up list if full. We always reserve a chalet with two bedrooms and share it with whoever. This year it was my son and his girlfriend.

CHEAHA = 30 April - 2 May Race Weekend = WEEKEND BEFORE...as in 25 April The park people just can't get this straight............even though i just keep kicking their thick skulls over the dates. They just keep putting out BAD INFO. AGAIN....CHEAHA....30 APRIL-2 MAY. PERIOD. OVER AND OUT. No matter what you hear otherwise....IT........IS...............THAT WEEKEND. Get your room or......... And YES, that new BS Ranger guy was the cause of ALL my grief. The Park Superintendent said....eh.....he's a bit over zealous. YEA THINK?????? The new Ranger Dude told me we couldn't come back. when i talked to the Park Superintendent...he said that ONE new Ranger guy is FULL OF IT. We have all the rooms, the lodge, the chalets...everything....for 30 April - 2 May. So YES, we're coming back.....and yes, "Barney Five" needs to chill............ Canadians, what are those...............eh.............???????

Cheaha Rally...we're coming. After I was there in 2007 and and I could'nt be there the last two years, I'm going to join you 2010. I'll also bring a friend of mine, Fiffi, who lives close to Hamburg. He's going to rent a Harley, but it is going to be his problem to drive with that kind of bike.

Hey, just so you know...a Harley was awarded the "long distance bike and rider" last year at Cheaha...and I have the T-shirt to prove it. And I have a Valkyrie that still blows my mind as well! PIBIT #34

Pickled Okra....(I mean, it is down SOUTH).....Up north, they make Bloody Ceaser's with Pickled Green Beans and Pickled Asparagus. (At least in Calgary they did).... The closest we could come up with in Alabama was Pickled Okra.

This is what it was like 2 years ago in 2007. Don't know how I am even smiling. I got the phone call in front of Winghot's Grill that my Dad had just passed - but my brother said I was with the BEST support group I could be with. I told the folks around me to give me some room and watch out for me...I AGREE - I WAS WITH THE BEST SUPPORT GROUP I could have been with.....Brothers and Sisters - one and all..... The funeral was put off until my return from Cheaha.

Glad to hear that Tim. We use that route every year going to Cheaha and have wondered if it would ever be a Sat. group ride. Let us know what we can do to help.
