Tim and Sherry and some of the Rune Riders were going to scout out some roads and eating place for their rally in Sep.  They let me tag along.  Had a good ride,I think I covered almost 400 miles counting riding to Erwin and back to Maggie Valley.  Rode all over East Tn. Went to Cherokee Dam,rode around it on 375, nice ride.
On the way back from Erwin headed S. on 26, looked like rain so I put on the rain gear at the overlook at 3700 feet.  Good thing I did, just a mile down the road ran into rain, lightning and hail.  First time I have ridden in hail, the Interstate windshield and fairing kept a lot of it off, but it was hitting my helmet and fingertips.
