Mike just left the barn today headed back to home base (Ft. Smith) with his 1st Valkyrie.  He acquired Desdemona, the '98 Teal/Black Tourer I had.  Mike's been lurking here for a few weeks now.  He and his wife are great folks and I just wanted to officially welcome them to the board. Join me won't y'all?

Ride safe and many (s)miles to you both.

Blessings,

Woody

Welcome, Mike!   cooldude    Any friend of Woody is a friend of mine regardless that we've not yet met.  Looking forward to meeting you and riding with you soon.

Stay tuned to the Texas Board for details on the annual Mid-Winter Gathering and Gathering of the Fools.

The Mid-Winter Gathering is in Dripping Springs, west of Austin, and is usually mid-February.  If you've never ridden the hill country, come on down.  It may not be the Pig Trail or 7, but it's as good as it gets in Texas and the camaraderie is as good as it gets.   Wink

The Gathering of the Fools (GOTF) is in Friendswood and is close to April Fools Day.  It is as close to required attendance as we VRCCers have, and you're next door!  Plus, the camaraderie is as good as it gets.  coolsmiley

After those, the largest gathering of Texas folks will probably be at InZane XIV, although not confirmed at this writing, scheduled for 8-12 June somewhere in the lower 48.   Wink   And the camaraderie is as good as it gets.   Wink

Well, thanks for the intro Woody and the welcome to the forum. I'm happy to be here.  Like Woody said I've been lurking here recently and trying to stay out of trouble.  Have posted a couple of questions which were promptly and thoroughly answered.  Its a very helpful and friendly place.  I'm looking forward to my first ride on Betty Boop nee Desdemona.  Brought it home in the rain yesterday and it's snug in my garage for the moment.  Going to be gone for a couple weeks after Christmas so looks like it will be a couple of weeks before I can take her out.  Might try before if it ever stops raining here.  Enjoyed meeting Woody and Lana.  Very nice folks. Left some really nice ruts in their driveway and still have some of it of my shoes.  Glad we missed the really bad weather just to the west.  I really really wanted that color scheme, just looks so retro to me.  Woody assures me it's a chick magnet if I so desired Wink  Okay, so that's not going to work for me, I got more than I can handle right now.  Look forward to being around and putting a few mile behind me.  The Texas meetings sound great.  Thanks to all  Mike

Welcome Mike,
there are many good people here for you to meet and listen to about Valkyries. There is almost no problem that cannot be solved easily. Hope to hear from you often and I hope you are as crazy about your new Valk as the rest of us are.
