I don't know the honda 45/45 bulb part number, but most of us have used std auto parts H4 halogen bulbs in 55/60 (#9003) (and cutting/bend stressing two of the tabs off the base).

You do not need these retainer rings, referenced in the shoptalk link.  And I never need to reaim either of my interstate headlights either.

Buying them's the easy part.

Getting the bastard up in the little hole correctly (without greasy fingerprints all over the glass) is the fun part.  Grrrrr...

I have had one bulb in in 10 minutes, and the other one NOT in the rest of the afternoon.

Clearly, it was good I was a shyster and not a gynecologist.

Loosen the top fairing bolts 2 of them and loosen the lower 2 bolts and roll the fairing forward. Oh and remove the W/S. Lots easier than tryin to jam old arthritic hands in dem too damn small places. You look at the fairing bolts on the fairing frame you will see zackly what I'm talkin bout!!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I changed mine out when I had the faring off the bike. Good time to replace the dash bulbs with bright LEDs as well.

What kind of bright led bulbs did you use and where can I get them?
