I'm just about complete w/ my super valk conversion. Starting to think about a solo seat and was hoping I can get some input as to what seats have worked well for others.

I also did a Supervalk conversion and I am loving it  cooldude
I wanted a low profile seat.

The seat I got was this one from Saddlemen,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SADDLEMEN-H3570J-RENEGADE-DELUXE-SOLO-SEAT-HONDA-GL1500-VALKYRIE-97-12-/271362211685?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3AValkyrie&hash=item3f2e72bf65&vxp=mtr

It works ok for my but, it says that it has a gel insert and I use it 90% of the time since my trips are 200 miles or less.
I have an Ultimate seat set up that I use for long trips or anything over 200 miles.

I was also looking at this seat from Saddlemen, have not tried it, but looks good

Hope this helps and let us know what you end up getting.

Ohhh... yeah...  we want to see some pics, just for proof, you know......  Grin cooldude

Check out the 2000 and newer seat off a Valkyrie Standard.  More affordable than most and pretty comfortable too.

Mustang will work with either a Standard or Interstate.

Alot of folks like Corbin.

The seat Farther mentioned cost me $94 at HDL in "2010". Looks and rides much better than the older version.

I've got a Diamond Custom with cloth inlay that fits my skinny butt fine.  With matching back rest  and rear seat.  I've never used the rear seat, sits the passenger way up in the wind. If I double ride I just put on the oem seats. Hoser

SADDLEMEN H3570J RENEGADE DELUXE SOLO SEAT.  cooldude

That's what's on my '02.  I really like it.  Puts me about 1 1/2" closer to the ground.  Got about 50k miles on it.  angel

Now.  Having said that.  If you've got a skinny butt, you'll be wanting to stop about every 50 miles.  coolsmiley

I don't care what they say is stuffed in it.  ITS HARD.  Shocked

If you've ever been horseback riding and didn't have any comfort problems, you'll wonder what everybody was complaining about.

BUT (pardon the pun), like John said everybody's butt is different.  Decisions Decisions  Undecided

Personally, I didn't care for the Ultimate.  Too wide for my legs and set me up another 1/2" + over OEM. tickedoff

Honda Direct Line check it out.
I buy most of my parts through them. Always give their price to my towns small bike shop and if he comes close I will buy from him.
