Ok   here  goes,
this has been a looooong  project for me,  I have  just  gotten   back  to  getting busy  on re-installing   the rebuilt carbs.
I just finished  installing the Redeye  shiney De-smog kit yeaterday and now am ready to put the carbs back in.
PLEASE  share your experience with me so that I don't forget something.   Just so you know  this is my first attempt at doing anything Carburator related and I followed D-Rays videos.
I just want some kind of reassurance from someone telling me  it will  be ok,  LOL...  Really  I want you Guru's to just point me in the right direction so that I can get back to ENJOYING my Valk...  That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy removing the carbs,
just that I want everything to work when I'm done..  Please share your thoughts and opinions. cooldude

Thanks,
Wewa

Not much to say, they just back on in reverse of how they came off. Not trying to be a wise guy. The thing to watch for and be careful of is/are the airbox tubes. Take your time, a mirror and a good light source are good things to have. The tubes do not want to go back in place and they're stubborn about it. Don't force them, go easy and make sure they are all installed in place correctly. You'll come up with some brand new naughty words.

OH yea thanks for reminding me it appears that the previous owner had the air box out because some of the clamps were not lined up with the hole and also the tubes were not lined up with the slots and there is some RVT or other material at the base.   also 2 of the tubes have a  rip that I was thinking would be covered with the clamp when put back on.
obvious questions,    Do I need to replace the 2 tubes?  do I put some sealer back around the base.  I did not take the tubes off the airbox I just turned them  to the correct position?

It would be advisable to mechanically synchronize the carburetors prior to reinstalling them back on the bike.

Take your sweet ole time, the more time you plan on doing the job , the less time it will seem like it took , by the time the jobs done.   Cool

blow in each carb to see if the floats shut off the flow then put a dan marc fuel shut off just ahead of carbs for security. the once they or on get a 4 tube mercury vac. line and set the carbs according to the book.this hydro locking business is nothing to fool with. pouch
