Where'd old times go?

Frisco, TX

« on: January 13, 2014, 04:33:47 AM »

So.  If we swapped the rear fenders

                   and the 'twinkie, blinkie' turn-signals,

                                         would you still hate it???

I STILL wanta ride the new F6C  Smiley

She looks like she could be the leader of a BRAT PACK!!!  Evil

  Oh.  And by the way.

The conical pod design looks like it was borrowed from the Vikings. . .  which makes them look rather appropriate, don't you think  Evil

I'm thinking that when Tom acquires one of the new Valkyries, he's likely to paint the anterior-most portion of the conical pods his favorite color of mammalian protuberances.   Wink   Or install auxiliary blinkers there!   Roll Eyes

Except for the foot-forward riding position, I like the V-Rod and there is at least one model whose riding position is more upright.  I believe it's stupid for HD not to incorporate its engine, or derivatives thereof, into the rest of its product line.

No doubt the new Valkyrie will be a runner and a rider, but I'm reserving final judgement on it until I see how the subjects of fairing and hard saddlebags are addressed.

I was told by a die-hard HD rider that the V-Rod isn't really a HD due to the water-cooling, none of that twentieth century technology for the hard-core Harley rider.

His world must have begun to crumble around him when the 2014 HD lineup came out.  Two of the models are water cooled.  I'll bet more are on the way.

Speaking of 2014 line-ups, I couldn't resist... I have stuck my wonderful Valks in the garage in front of my new HR Signature F6B! Trying to get the Cobras to sound right, but I think that I am going to have to settle for 'just ok' sound. Otherwise just what the Doctor ordered. I really like it. It is a real long hauler, very comfortable. We went to Russelville AR. to Honda of Russellville two up on Dian's new CVO Softail Custom and i just couldn't be outdone, I guess. This engine is the bomb. Everything we already have + more. I wont get rid of Valkyrie number 1, however, I do have a second valk, a work in progress, that will have to go. Sometimes I am reminded how truely blessed we are.

    FAR OUT DUDE! cooldude

 That's a color I haven't seen.  Cool

How'd it go without highway pegs to stretch the legs out?  Undecided

I like a little 'flex' room when I ride.

AND, what windshield are you running?  Looks familiar   ???
