Alabama

I live about 50 miles from Birmingham, Alabama  and am looking for someone to service the driveshaft on my '97 Valkyrie Tourer. I'd just rather deal with an individual than a dealer and would like to see it done so as to learn more about it.

I also need some help in Alabama.  I think I am needing the carbs cleaned/serviced on my Interstate.  And like snakemeister, I don't want to take it to the dealer either.

Also needing/wanting someone to help install an Audiovox cruise control to the bike.

I live just outside of Montgomery.

Thanks, Donald

I live in Clanton. I hope to find someone closer than Cullman but I could deal with that.I'm the only person I know that has a Valkyrie so I've been on my own.

If you are doing the job yourself, do you have a lift and adapter?  If not who ever helps is going to have them.
Point is, have all parts, o-rings, grease (including rear tire?) ready so you can get it back together faster.

Don't make that offer if you don't mean it.That would be a nice little ride from where I live.Do you think  we could service the driveshaft and maybe replace the u-joint  OK  in a day?

Are you sure the u joint is bad? It is not a problem to change out the u joint and do drive maintenance, but the boot can be a PINA. I can not guarantee that we can do this in one day. we do not know what we will find when we get in there.
