I want to add a light bar to a 98 Valk.  I have replaced the original windshield with a Cee Bailey but on the same brackets.  Any info would be appreciated.

Have you thought about mounting some lights on the crash bar? I used 55watt Showchrome spots and Kuryakyn mounts. Very effective IMO.

The coolest (I think) light bars for Valkyries (Rivco and Cobra) are no
longer made and practically unobtainable these day$...

If you don't go for the crash bar mounts (they'd get in the way of my
feet when on the highway pegs) you might want to look at
these:

http://www.bigbikethings.com/winddeflectors.html

I have the winddeflectors. It looks like he just makes a wider version
to mount lights on. Anyone have these? I also have the forward controls
from here, they make good stuff.

Here's the wiring diagram I used when I first wired mine up, it is from
Rivco, but is just a generic wiring example. right-click/view-image will
make it plenty big enough to see:

I used the blue wire from the head light for my "Any Wire"... my driving
lights come on with high-beam, I can really light up the road and
then dim them as normal to keep from blinding people.

Whatever you choose for lighting, do NOT wire them into the headlight circuit in any manner. That puts an extra load on the start switch on top of an already heavy load and will give problems down the road....like "no start" AND no lights.  Always wire running lights with a circuit totally separate from the headlight. That way if one or the other "goes south" on you, you still have some lights to get you home. Because if it happens it will be at 3:00am, on a moonless night, in the middle of nowhere, with no cell service.

They call them "Any" wires, cause any wire can drive a relay...

I'd rather not have driving lights if I couldn't run them on
high-bean only... I'm glad it has worked great for years now...

I have my driving lights wired through a relay, with all power coming from the battery. But the switch on the relay is wired to the high beam indicator light. When the high beams go on, so do the driving lights..... Been working that way for years.

My driving lights are driven by a relay, and wired to come on after the engine starts.    Manually that is.    Once the little switch it thrown they are on as long as the key is  on, low beam or high beam.

1 burned relay socket is enough for me, especially when it is on a non moom night and 40 miles out in the country and my cell phone is home on the dresser.

I screwed around with it for about an hour, matches don't last too long.    A lady came by, honked and stopped.   Asked if I needed some help, told her I needed some type of light.

She pulled her car around so it was shining on the right side and I got to work.  Stripped a couple of wires, wired them together and a couple more, bike started that time, and my headlights came on, the driving lights I had turned off.

Made it to the shop, open the overhead door and rode MGM in.    Found a wiring schematic and got the old turd wired so I had both beams and my driving lights working.   I added a relaay then also.   Opened the door to back out and came face to face with 6 big burly assed cops.    They had me in cuffs, had called for a truck to impound the bike.   Another cop pulled up, he got out and looked me in the eye and said what ya trying to do break into your own shop?    Said nope, just waiting on them to start asking questions and then I figured I'd tell them that it was our shop.     He said why didn't you turn off the alarm.   Said it is in the house and I don't have my house key with me and didn't want to wake up my son as he has a damn big full shop tomorrow.

One of the cops, said you know him, he said yes I do, he owns this shop with his son.      There was a big ooops, and they were taking the cuffs off when my son came out the door.

I think all 6 of them stop by the shop at least once a week.   Good bunch of boys.

Looks like your air wings are mounted backwards or on the wrong side,or maybe my are wrong but they don't look right, there is a set of cobra light bars for sale on the other web for a good price,I think those are the cleanest look and the best
