Yesterday we took the grandkids to see G-Force in 3-d...was an ok show BUT!!!!
I rode the Valk to the ticket office and it cost 9.75 for each child and 13.25 for each adult... that was a total of $46.00
then we go to get popcorn and a Coke,,, popcorn is 7.50 for a medium bucket and a small coke is 5.50....
needless to say we didnt get popcorn and a coke...
Katy is 6 and this was her first movie,,,
Veronica is 8 and had a good time,,,,
i also gave Katy her the first bike ride while they are here,,,,

Its no dam wonder kids dont get to do things like we used to do because it simply cost to dam much...

that would have cost us 100 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids had we gotten popcorn and a drink...

the local saturday night dirt track races are 10 bucs for adults and kids under 12 are free and the action goes on for 5 hours or more,,,,,

thanks for listening to my vent about the cost of movies,,,,
when i was little a quarter would get you a movie, popcorn and a coke,,,,

do you realize how much a small Island in the carribean costs a movie star now days? Hey they gotta live too. That's why we do the movie on afternoon matinee prices with discount coupons from work ($6.00 each). What is this movie popcorn you speak of? Quit buying that years ago too. Corn has gone up price too though, $4 or 5 a bushel now?

It's crazy isn't it?
