We had something like 14 people if I counted right from memory.

Had a pretty fair buffet, several of the group got Steak.   They didn't have meatloaf in the Buffet.   Damn the luck no how.

Tom setting next to me had the steak, and it was pretty small in my opinion.

That might have been the add on for something like $0.99   Ole tight wad me I passed on the steak.

We made it home. It started snowing right out side of Des Moines. 1 1/2 inches on the ground when we got home. Snowed all the way home

Glad to hear ya made it home.

I almost got clipped by a Polk County Sheriff car on E14th St. by the Capitol.

He was in the fast lane and I was in the curb lane about 1/2 way back on his car.

Some guy, I assume it was a guy, 2 cars up in front of him, whipped over into the curb lane and did some fish tailing.

Something told me to back off and about that time his red/blues came on and he nailed it and whipped over. he also fishtailed that Ford SUV.

If I hadn't of backed off and braked a little bit we would of both been in the snow bank.

He never did catch the car.  Once he saw the red/blues he was gone.  When I hit the flat at E14th am Maury, the kid or whoever he was chasing was just topping the hill by the McDonald's and O'Reilly Store.   Cop was just past the Park where Pizza Hut used to be, on the river bridge.

Meet at Bonanza on Feb. 8th. 12 attended. Passed around the sign up sheet for rides. Have the months of May and July taken. Randy and Deb took the month of May and Brad took the month of July. We will pick up a month that isn't taken. Kevin can you take a month? Talked about doing a Iron Butt ride. Randy will get info on this. He would like to do it in May sometime before it gets to hot. Talked about how to get other people around the state interested in joining in on the fun. Things that were suggested have already been offered or tried .If anyone has other ideas to get people involved feel free to email us.   Talked about meeting in Adel next month to eat. Randy will check into this. Most of the night was spent visiting and enjoying the company.

An item that was missed in the discussion was Rob's 50 Anniversary, Birthday one that is.     I missed the date so maybe Terri will fill us in on it.   Maybe we can gang up on him and toss a great feed like last night.

Yes siree Bob, ya missed a good time.

I was going to suggest we do it once a month but I chickened out.   Yes, I chickened out.    Amazing isn't it......

Mike Luden, aka  Moonshot_1, could you get a dinner thing put on in your area?  I'm sure several of these natives here in the Des Moines area would attend.

I know I would go up, can haul 3 more comfortably in my Pickup.   If they are big hunkers like me, I'll talk mom out of her Highlander.   Dat be a Toyota,

I know we don't have tooo much to look at for rides, but we can always give rides in various other parts of the state, we will get attendance I'm sure.

Think on it and get ahold of me, Rob & Terri or post a message on this Iowa site of the National site.    We get a lot of coverage here using this site.   By that I mean anyone who is a member or quest to this site can post or read the messages.

Robert I can not go this weekend. I have to deliver some pumps and motors to a guy in Iowa Falls. Sorry,  and I can not find your phone number or I would have called.
