good evening to you all ...or ...   howdy ya'll
I saw in the penny saver an add for a flea market in uncertain texas ...
68,000 square feet under the roof .. during that last warm spell
so we got in the car and I drove the wife and little 7 year old cousin
lennon (her mom is a beatles fan) up to " the big pine lodge " for lunch
before the flea market ...
the big pine has reopened and   still has good catfish and burgers ...
in a real nice setting ... caddo lake cyprus tree and spanish moss hang'in
on the way out I noticed another restaurant sign ... " river bend "
turn around to see whats what ... this place is newer .. on the water ..eat in or out side ... lot of H O G members in there have'in lunch ... every thing come;in out of the kitchen looked good ... people had nothing bad to say about the food ...        parking lot full of Harley-davidson motorcycles ... mild to wild
something I have never seen before .... a few of the bikes had a 3-4 foot length of braided nylon rope clipped onto the handle bars on one side or the other..different colors      Shocked
I can't help but wonder what the rope is all about .. what purpose does it serve ?
any body know of this "new to me " motorcycle accent ? accessory?

ok ... ok .. new tires this week ... E3s ....seven wear bars and a big split across the tread pattern on the front ...  found a peice of the rear tire missing ...
big as a silver dollar ... freak me out...I had just got home from a three hundred mile
jaunt around south and west of tyler ... ninety mph at times ...
a beautiful day   ... lot of different smells out in the piney wood ... home before dark as it was cool'in down fast ...

Sounds like a nice day trip!   cooldude

Those colored ropes are called "Get Back Whips".  Supposed to give you that retro look…been around awhile.

You thinkin' about gettin' one?

When I was a kid (I know, I know) I used to ride a horse on my uncle's farm.

He gave me a 'quirt' to use to encourage the horse to go.  Roll Eyes

Looked very similar to the GET BACK WHIPS except the quirt was all leather.  No metal.  Smiley

I know some 1%er's that use them when needed and are in MC colors but I doubt that 99% of the rubs that have them got the balls to use them when needed it's more of a look at me I suppose to be cool now thing!
