I couldn't make the Cobra lightbar work to suit me with a Hoppe fairing, but a Rivco lightbar worked... the Rivco really hangs out there...

Here it is with the Hoppe and the Rivcos... I never thought I'd part with this fairing, but I ended up getting a Cobra lightbar. The lights touched the fairing with the Cobra (not the Rivco) and I had the fairing off for a while as I looked for some slightly smaller lights. I realized I like the way the bike feels more without the fairing... the fairing's been gone for several years now... -Mike

That faring with the swoopy lines and low riding looks pretty good on the Valkyrie from that angle,, do you have a dead on side shot?

Looked good and fit the bike nicely,, too bad it didn't handle right. I looked at what Hoppe is offering now,, looks like a big block sitting too high on the bike, and the cost is too much. I do like the idea of four speakers.
To me the stock fairing looks and fits best on the bike, but I am thinking about a Tsykayu,, just researching at this point. Really would like to keep the Cobras.

too bad it didn't handle rightI wouldn't say that at all... it was a fairing/no-fairing choice on my part. All fairings would add the weight up there... after having the fairing on there for a few years, when I took it off "temporarily" I found I liked being in the cockpit without it. -Mike

Well, it looks like a few people have corralled one up, and they do look nice on our bikes,, what was that model of Hoppe called?? I really like that custom floorboard mount in the top picture.
I still wonder if anyone has mounted a Tsykayu batwing with a Cobra lightbar.... and also, where do you mount your gauges with a faring install??
I guess I need to get out more and look at some other folks bikes!!

Have you looked at Woodys fairings? Glenn makes them one at a time specific for the Valkyrie. IMHO, there's not a better fairing made for the Valk. http://www.woodysfairings.com/fairingsetc/HNFVLKX.htmlEmail or call him....he could tell you if the Cobra light bar would work or not. btw....If I'm not mistaken, he's the guy that made those fairings that are on Mike's bike...he used to work for Hoppe. Mine.....

Thanks BF ,, I emailed Woody with some questions about his products,,, from looking around his website, I see he is an extremely busy guy,, pretty impressive for a one man show. I also see that there is a kit to relocate the gauges,, did you have to extend anything to move yours?
Thanks Mike for the info and pics,, that looks like a familiar mug in the second one,, still think those fairings look pretty good.
My used Jumbo Strongs from eBay just got dropped on the porch, we will see what I got.

Pancho I am not BF (obviously) I recently ordered a Woody's fairing and it is at paint right now.i was very impressed with the quality when it arrived and on my dry fit I had a couple of questions and I called Glenn and he was happy to answer all my questions. As far as extending anything to move the gauges all that has to be extended is the speedo cable and it comes with the kit from FX6 customs (Darrell) another great guy to deal with. I just can't wait to get it back so I can put it on and get in the wind

Appreciate the information and endorsement Bighead. Waiting on some info on the product, mainly about the radio cutout maximum size and weather I can use cobras with it.

What Bighead said. If and when you order a Woody, call Daryl and tell him you've got a Woodys fairing on the way. He'll hook you up with what you need, he won't sell you anything you don't need......and what you'll need is a headlight relo kit and a speedo & tach relo kit. The speedo/tach relo kit comes with a longer speedo cable. Everything you'll need is included. Everything is an easy install. Just know that if you're going to buy a Woodys fairing, that it IS NOT a quick release fairing. Once it's on, it's there to stay. Also, with a fairing, you can block all of the wind, have some of the wind or have all of the wind with the simple change of a windshield. Air management is easy peasy with a fairing. I have three shields that I switch out depending on the time of year and the weather. I've got a 10" for when I want all of the protection, like in the winter, a 7" for when I want some air without buffeting...it stays on most of the year....and a 4" for when it's oh my gawd my skin is melting hot and I want as much wind as if I didn't have any shield on at all. I think you'll like a fairing.
