First of all I just want to say to those that put in time to make InZane happen...  Thank you and you did an amazing job.

This was my first InZane that I have been to and I can't wait for next year.  I new we had some really good folks in our club but I didn't have a clue that it would be everyone.  I had told a couple members that I rode up with to this years InZane that I just wanted to go once so I could say I had been and that would be good enough.  But, I must admit.....  It was by far better than I could have ever imagined.

You have to understand that I was thinking, "Ah man it's going to be a bunch of folks sticking with those they know and those that were "new" would be sitting by themselves. It was never that way, every time I turned around someone was walking up and asking where I was from, what kind of valk did I ride, and are you having a good time.  Walking down the halls of the Holiday Inn and you would always run into another member and it was more than just a "hi".  I was blown away...  I am very proud to be a part of such a great group of people and very giving.

For those that were not able to make it to the trip this year and I remember reading where someone said that they usually don't stay for the last day...  Well, let me just fill those that may have left or were not able to make it what happened saturday night. Understand that I only have been an owner of my 99 I/S for three years and just started being active on the board in the last year or so.  I never came to the general board but it has been a great treat.  Anyhow...  back to Saturday night events..  I do not know who the gentlemen was that won the poker run and that doesn't have to be revealed for you to know what your fellow club member did last night.  He won a large amount of cash and when he got it I was hoping that he would walk over and drop it in the hat.  That didn't happen he kept the winnings (his choice).  Well, as the raffles went on Scott had mentioned that a member had won some patches at a raffle on a previous day and wanted to auction them off and have the proceeds go to the Children's charity fund.  So someone bid 20, then another bid 30, and then this guy in the back stood up and said 800 dollars!!!  It was his winnings from the poker run, everyone stood up and was clapping and then of course trying to wipe the wet eyes so you could keep clapping...   I was witnessing something very special that most clubs never experience... The generosity of our club is simply amazing...  What an honor to be a part of such a wonderful group of people.

One more example..  There was the really nice looking neon sign that said Valkyrie.  We all were hoping we would win it but the person that did have the winning raffle he went to claim his prize and then asked to have it auctioned off and all the proceeds go to the children's charity.  No way!! No way...  Well, it was real and the total proceeds that was raised saturday night was astonishing.

We are in tough economic times, unemployment has sky rocketed, layoffs are in the balance for many and folks still reached deep in their pockets to give.

So for those that left early or couldn't make it... I don't think that I could put into words what happened last night, but it was truly remarkable.  I am so proud of the VRCC members, what a great group you are...

I know that some couldn't make it and that's okay.. I'll see you next year... but I learned something... come early... If you just come for the weekend you have to cram to much together... So, I will be early next year for sure!!

Until next year..... Cheers my friends  uglystupid2

Amazing is an accurate description of the event & overwhelmingly spectacular demonstration of generosity from a club I am extremely proud to be a part of.  Those who attended had the unique opportunity to witness repeated examples of kindness and generosity.  Several Members won items and then donated them back to be auctioned off for the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation.  Items that were selected as grand prize (huge items) where given back and then auctioned.

The staff & volunteers who worked so diligently to ensure we had a good time deserve a big pat on the back!  Many hours before during and after are required to pull off such an event.

It was a pleasure to see old friends and meet new ones!  I too am a very proud member of the VRCC!   cooldude

Stude31;

Thanks, you described the essence of the event perfectly! I too was totally awe struck with our members, their friendliness, good will and generosity.

Also enjoyed the hike we took through Frisco, what an adventure! I never worked that hard just to obtain some Slurpees. Can't wait to see you next year for more adventures.

Amen Stude, couldn't have said it better myself, can't say I would have auctioned the sign if I had won, I like to think I would have.  Amazing generosity!  cooldude Hoser

This was my fifth Inzane, and I cannot say I was as surprised as many at the turn of events.  Over the past few years, I've seen this happen time and again, so the shock value has worn off, but the love and respect for the members of the VRCC just grows and grows and grows.

I don't think I could have been so generous.  I'd have taken the sign home and hung it in the bike barn.  It's much better off where it is now!

Everyone before me has already stated quite elegantly what I experienced at my first InZane. Thanks to everyone: every atendee, every volunteer and all that worked to make it happen - Wow! I went there knowing no one. I left with a heart full of happiness and a lot of new friends. Yes, I'll be at as many InZane's as I can possibly attend in the future. Frisco! What a location! The 9000 foot elevation takes some getting used to but it's definitely worth it. Just get on your bike and drive anywhere and in any direction: un-be-liev-a-ble!! We rode 13 hours straight home and I'm ready to get back in the saddle and go again - but wait - where's InZane ten?

Oz - very nice to finally have met you and to learn how the VRCC started... (I sent you a personal message.)  Yeah that was quite a hike and in the rain, things that we will do at 2 in the morning for a drink.  I will see what I can do to get you one of those hats for you, as well.

Hoser - Let's not make it a habit to have to drive nine hours away to see each other.  You live just 15 min away from me!!!!   2funny

BonS - I am not sure if that was you or not that was on the valkyrie that we passed motoring down I-70 yesterday or not.  I was with 2 vtx's (one was really loud, red and the other was orange) and then Mack was on his black standard pulling a trailer.  But, anytime you want to go riding just hollar at me and I'll meet you in Kansas city, I have a sister that lives in Olathe and Willow is up there, too!

Glad you guys made it home safe, we rolled into Topeka at 6:30 last night. I couldn't wait to sleep in for a change...  Not use to getting up at 5am... 4am mtn time!!!!

That was YOU Sharkey!!!?!!

You should have sped up to the front and told me you needed fuel and we would have stopped with you!!  Oh well... Glad you got home safe!  Shoot me a PM when you want to go for a ride... I'll come visit...  I agree...  BF is a super good fellow... everyone in that tent is awesome.  BigBF was a big part of InZane. I enjoyed just walking by and seeing what they were working on.  BF helped me figure out that I had drenched my K&N filter and that was why my fuel economy was so bad!
