Can't speak directly concerning these, but my best buddy just order a pair for his wife's K1200GT and when he took them in to be mounted, the remark was made that they ( the shop ) usually only see these related to racing.  Suspected that the compound would be very soft.

My buddy said "thank you" and now after about 1500 miles on the GT they are wearing well.  ( It's really still to early to tell )  Grip and handling appear to be just fine.  WI to Johnson City to Nashville to Dragon & Area back to Nashville, and then back to WI.

Due to the lower cost of these, even if they wear 25% faster, they still will be be an economically good choice.  I'll hear from him later today and can update with the final thought on the tires.

I just ordered a spare set of Shinkos for either my Valk or VTX (they take the same size tire).   I have Avon Venoms on both of the bikes now, but wanted to have a spare set.  For the price, especially when you get DLP to price match/guarantee, is GREAT.  I got a set of tires and Dyna Beads for under $250.00.

Have DLP price match (price guarantee is like 5 bucks less than the price you find) from  Ride Direct.   http://www.ridedirect.com/showProduct.php?id=1357&cat_id=46

Rear tire and Dyna Beads were in stock, however the front will be shipped next month I believe he said.

Does anyone currently run a set Shinkos (front and rear) and what is you opinion? Have you also used Avons, Dunlop or Bridgestone? How do they compare? What's your tire pressure?

I will be replacing my tires this fall and just wondering if I should try another brand. I'm currently running Avons and they seem to be the best available.

I didn't think they made a tire that would fit the rear of our Valks.  Did I miss something?  You all are looking for the front to run with a DS Correct?
