I,m thinking of putting a fairing on my Valk, 1997 Std, and I've looker Ed on line and I see a lot of the batwing type that look really good, then I saw the Rifle website and the more I looked at it the more I liked it, but they didn't have any reviews posted so I was wondering if anyone has or have had it on there bike and if so how was it??
Thank you guys for any help
Steve

I like the way the rifle faring looks as well as the Hannigan Motorcycle Fairing I two have been looking for a fairing for my bike but
and sick of the Harley bat wing copy's out there and that's all there are excepted the two I mentioned above just seems to me what ever Harley comes out with becomes stranded even the woody's faring looks just like a Harley bat wing to me.
but every one likes what they like that's just my two cents .. keep Riding
and hope you find a fairing you like.

I'll offer my $.01 here.
I bought a Hannigan trailer several years back.
Picked it up at the place it was made.
Had to wait 3 hours for them to take the runs out of the paint and re-shoot it.
After I got home, I took it to my buddy who does my paint work, he finished the screw ups in the paint and then clear coated it.
Took a trip with it, and got pulled over cause my trailer lights were flickering. I told the gentleman I'd repair it when I got to the Motel.
Unloaded the trailer, pulled the carpet and 1 (one) firkin ground point.. It had like 6 or 7 wires going to it. So, I got 3 rolls of wire, red, white and a green.
Started at the coupler on the tongue and rewired the damn thing. The Officer who stopped me, stopped by, and worked with me for about 3 1/2 hours. He got a call and I finished it. It was like 3:00 AM when I got it finished. I was parked right under a street lamp post in the parking lot, had good light to work under.
They had used those open the flap, push the additional wire in place, squeeze the metal piece into the wires and close the flap and latch it.
I used house twist ends to get me home.
Got home, took all the house twist ends off and soldered every thing. I pulled that worthless trailer for about 85 to 90K. Got rear ended on the Illinois Turnpike at the Toll Booth. Didn't think it did much damage, 3rd light got tore off, and scratched the Clear Coat a good hunk.
Got home, took the box off to check for more damage. Yup, the 4 bolt mounting plate was ripped out and the box would wobble if pushed on.
Got ahold of my buddy who does Fiberglass and we did a repair on that trailer so as it would take a lot harder hit to tear it up.
Fixed the Fiberglass on it, the Top lid where the 3rd light set, repainted it with Ghost Flames on it and 4 coats of clear coat, hand sanding each one before shooting the next one. Pulled it to a Gold Wing Whin Ding, or what ever it is they call it.
Guy from Wyoming asked if I wanted to sell it. Said yes, I'll sell anything I own, with a couple of exceptions. He asked a price, I added about $2,500 on what I wanted for it and told him the price. He talked me down$1,000 so I let him have it. It had a 5 prong end on it, so he bought a 4 prong from one of the trailer sales and we wired it in. Left the turn signals out.
I took all my excess stuff I couldn't fit in the saddle bags to UPS and shipped it home. Never owned a factory built trailer after that. My father-in-law and I built a little Stage Coach. It went many a mile behind MGM, my Yamaha and my Gold Wing. It made it to all the states except Hawaii. Actually Alaska twice.
Peace.

Now that rifle sport is not too bad but that second one you picture looks like something off the bat bike.

Yeah, I found pictures, but have never actually seen one on any bike.
Kind of an old Windjammer fairing on steroids.
Your handle would need to be Buck Rodgers..... or Ming the Merciless.

Looking at the link for the sport it appears to be just a shell(nothing on the inside no place for a stereo or such) I still have to go with the woody I own one and can attest to the quality in which it is made

I have to agree that a full fairing with stereo, gauges, yada is better.
But some guys do not have the dinero for all that, and some of the shell fairings out there are a nice compromise between a shield and Woody's style, and probably half the price (or less).
I know the Memphis gives very good aerodynamic protection (with a decent shield on it), thou the view from the inside is ..... pretty empty.

No doubt Jess but I guess I would just have to save more and wait a bit. But that's just me

I order the Rifle faring and it showed up this week, but as I was laying out the parts to check that I had every thing I found out that I was missing the bracket to extend the headlight, called them and I should get it on Monday, I did put the windshield on and it looks great and seems to be well made, I also order saddle bags and I should get them on Tuesday, by next week I'm hoping to have everything on and I'll post pic of finished product... Just want to say thank you for everyone's commits..

I got my Rifle fairing and Viking saddle bags on, the fairing was a little harder then I thought it would be lol, the bags were not too bad, I did have to go to the hardware store to get long enough bolts, but after that it was easier.. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it.$&@#%
