It's been quite a while since we have gotten together for a wrench party.  So, let's all get over to Phyllis's on March 8th.  We usually start at ~9, and run till the projects (or the motivation) run out.  Directions will not be posted here, but if you need them, ask either Phyllis or me, and we'll get directions to you.

If you have any specific things you want to accomplish, holler, so we can be prepared (especially if you need assistance doing it).

I have been wrenching up a storm, so I don't really need anythnig, but I would love to come lend a hand. (my favorite past time) I will bring Valkyrie #2. It is finally in Great Shape! Fast Black w/Cobra pipes. A lot faster than Valkyrie #1. (I think it has a trigger wheel?)

I'd love to be there, but Vita and I will be too busy getting married! (I'd use one of the emoticons, but I don't know which one to use.... Afraid I'll get myself in a heap of trouble  Undecided )

The ceremony is going to be at 10:00 a.m. We're going take off for a ride down to Fredericksburg for a few days. Just may have to make a run for the Sisters again.

Be careful about making a run for her sister right after you get married.  Might want to give it a few weeks before you suggest that...

Congratulations.
Do you think you could come by for the first part of the wrench party and then get back in time for the wedding?

I will be there, but probably on the Wing.  The Valk needs a front tire and I want to polish the wheel while I have it off, so it will be more than a day project.

That is a major intersection they plan on closing.  I can't believe they are making it a permanent closing.

Makes no sense.

Of course, they tell us nothing.  Theory is (at least from friends I've talked about it with) is that 1) that intersection is a sharp angle, and it can be difficult to see safely; and 2) they're about to put in a LOT of new homes/businesses in the area, increasing the number of vehicles that would be trying to cross without a good view.

I was hoping they'd just find a way to straighten it, but it's much easier to simply inconvenience all of us who are used to using that crossover.

The "new" turn has always been there.  When I first moved out here, it was paved, barely.  The road was fixed a couple of years ago, and it's nice and smooth.  I've timed it vs the other, and it's actually a tad quicker.  Just feels strange.

It is what it is.  We'll all have to adjust.  Drat!

Well, sorry we missed the Wrench Party, but Vita and I made it to Fredericksburg safe and sound. It poured from College Station to Fredericksburg. Thank GOD for good leather and rain gear. I missed my calling in life, I should have been a weatherman. Who else makes that much money and can always be so wrong! 30% of rain my ass!
