Ok. hate to keep on. But ever since couldnt get the wheel to pull up on the Redeye 3rd O-ring. I have concerns if wheel is all the way up. Would appreciate if could get mea. from  some. From the dust cover edge to turned rear wheel ring. I have 3/16. And have 3/16 tire clearance at swing arm. Used feeler gagae and then mea. tape. Is 205-60-18. which I know may vary with dif.  tires.  Also the black dust ring has a slight opening to wheel. and a sq. cut-out on it. Would this small slit opening let water in?  I do alot of cross country riding and like to have pc. of mind. Thanks

OK.....The dust cover has an opening in the bottom to allow the use of a prybar (screwdriver) to pry the spline from the hub. Yes, water can get in there, but , that's what the O-rings help with, Usually they come easy, but, not always. Can you install all the rear components (spacer, brake, axle?) without prying? If so, the wheel is on. If your having trouble slipping past the o-ring, put some lube on it. cooldude

Dr. Danh,
I just went out and measure mine.  Same 3/16th inch from the outer plastic edge to the machined ring on the aluminum housing.  I used a feeler gauge as well.  Steve
