Came over yesterday afternoon and helped put the 1200 project up on wheels. We spent a good half hour looking for something on my bench, finally found it after moving enough crap(too many projects). It was great having company and especially an extra hand. He didn't seem to have any problem moving around but I didn't let him do any heavy lifting.

Turns out I won't be able to use the Valkyrie wheel in back without major reengineering, so we mounted the final and OEM 1200 wheel. Also set the front on a wheel, that 1200 triple tree is downright ugly. It all looks OK but sure would have liked to have used the Valk wheel.

Jeff....I did find the sidestand. It was in another pile of parts hidden behind a ladder. After sending the spring across the garage three times I gave up trying to hook it up. I have an old brake shoe spring tool that works good but the end is too thick for the spring to slide off. So....new day, new approach, same old back however.  Wink

Glad Jeff is doing well and could help give you a kick start John.  Have you tried stretching the spring out and putting coins or washers between the links?

I was happy to help John. It's nice to feel like I'm healing up. Rita kept cautioning me about lifting anything. I just love her! Glad you found the kickstand. I'll be available to give you a hand again soon.

Terry, I've done that before, just thought the old brake tool might work as it has in the past. Ended up stabbing myself in the wrist  with the pointy end of the tool and bleeding like a stuck hog(blood thinners do that to you). Figured that was enough for one day.  Grin
