I don't have the transmission cover, but have wanted one for awhile.  My alternator cover still looks good, but the bottom part that screws down is broken, and the cover precariously holds on by the upper grommet.  Looking at the pictures it seems like the Kuryakyn transmission cover cradles the alternator cover.  Does the transmission cover help hold the alternator cover in place?  I'd rather shell for chromed metal than overpriced chromed ABS plastic!

It doesn't "cradle" it to a point where it will keep it on the Valk if the it's "precarious" hold gives way. Just kind of touches together.

Correct, it won't hold it on if it is loose from the bottom, but it will hide the duct tape if you tape the alt. cover on.  Smiley  At least I think it will.  It won't be noticeable with that new transmission cover on there anyway.

I used this stuff on the underside of the tranny covers to keep the noise down.  I always heard that adding the covers amplified the noise from the engine/tranny.

I don't have the tranny covers, but has anyone used a product like this for alternator (abs), rear brake reservoir cover(abs), or rear brake master cylinder cover (metal)

I haven't, but it keeps the sounds from being amplified if you line the inside.  If you are getting buzzing sounds, this stuff will stop it.

Red Diamond,

Just purchased on Amazon $13.86 as a Prime Member(which mean I pay no shipping, but pay $79/yr membership)
