Need some direction.

Have a 97 Fast Black  Shocked Standard with Interstate tank(Installed last year)  On my trip to Inzane(my first) my arms felt like they were being extended further than they should have been and became tired during the ride to and from Inzane in Lacrosse which is less than 400 miles from home.

Thinking about Inzane this year, 1300 miles. What are some recommended solutions to reduce arm fatigue and creating increased comfort.

Thanks in advance for ideas and links.

Do a search of RISERS; there will be more threads than you can shake a stick at.*

The stock risers are 3 1/8".

Any 4" riser (or riser spacer) will improve your ride, and not require anything else but the riser change.

Most riser options work on IS bikes so you should be fine.

Jess and Fred,

Thanks for the information.  Will be checking to see who sells quality risers.

Take a look at bigBF's risers, see below.

I put Aeromach's on my Valks.

The risers on BigBF's site look nice, but think that 6" may be a bit much. How do you like the Aeromachs? I've been eyeballing them. It seems the 4" risers with a little further back is what would work for me. I'm 5' 8" and ever since putting a Ultimate King Big Boy saddle on, my hands fall right at the ends of the grips, if leaning back. I've grown used to this, but my aftermarket mirrors also have to be adjusted to their extreme position to keep the road behind me in proper view. I figure a little rise and throw back would be perfect.

Jimmy, the Aeromach and Honda Direct Line Lamonster risers for Valk are identical, but HDL is cheaper.  I have the Aeromach (@10% discount just by asking) and they are great (5'9").

I tried finding HDL's to post a link, but could not (they are on there, I just can't find them).

Either are about the best rise and pullback you can get on a Valk without any other changes necessary (unlike the 5.5" Deuce), and they are very heavy duty.  Other run of the mill 4" BigBikeParts, Scootworks, yada risers will get you much the same movement, and are cheaper, but some are decidedly not heavy duty.

Some have reported being happy with the simple riser spacers (one inch additions & bolts to OE risers) and they are also cheaper.  (GenMar ?)

I like the Aeromach risers a lot. At your height and the seat set up on your bike, BF's riser just might be what you need.  ???

Is the Aeromach model you are referring to the one listed for the VTX1300?

I put the gen mars spacers on my IS, they are easiest, cheapest and do everything the aeromacs on my tourer does.  Hoser  Smiley

Hoser,

Do you have a link?  May try this idea first and it will at least get me to Inzane and then look at other bikes.
