Noticed that there is a different part number for a Tourer & I/S ignition switch.
What is the actual physical difference? Will they interchange, or more specifically will an I/S switch work on a Tourer?

I received the I/S ignition switch today (used} AND a new Tourer/Std switch too.
The I/S has the same 4 spade plug as the Tourer switch plus the added accessory wire with a separate connector. Also has the backwards "ACC" key setting like TJ said on the switch not on the Std/Tourer.
It appears to be interchangeable putting I/S switch on a Std/Tourer but obviously not the other way around.
Is there any advantage to using the I/S switch on the Std/Tourer? What could I power with the I/S extra wire & key feature?

Got the used I/S switch plus a RH engine hanger with the little breather tank that connects to the air cleaner for $20 so I can't complain!

You could hook up a sound system to run off the ACC line. No telling what kind of trouble you guys could get into with some mood music in the background.  Grin

While a stereo/DVD on a GPS stereo is the perfect use for the aux. position on the switch,,, keep in mind the capacity of the battery on the Valkyrie,, not really  sized to provide party music for an outing.

Now with an parallel connected auxiliary battery in the bags with a separation switch for isolation .................

I guess the Interstate has the same acc wire under the right sidepanel...? Anywho...
If you put an Interstate switch on a Tourer, you could cause the switch's acc
position to make the already-present acc wire go hot.
