If that's the case, you should at least consider a Pie Town stop on Hwy 60! West central part of the state, due east of Springerville, AZ about 70 miles one way. Food for Thought  coolsmiley

Still seeing if I can work it out Dave. Sounds like a winner though. I'd mentioned to Michael K that I'd like to hit the Chiricahuas since I'd never been. I believe he said your group had already done that visit.

I'd recently come through that general area last month but ended up stopping in Tombstone for the night. I'd have done better time-wise and scenery-wise by skipping that tourist trap and hitting CNP instead. Oh well, Tombstone is now checked off the list.  Undecided
