The stock seat on my 99 standard is manageable, But after a few hundred miles I do wish I had something else.  I have read that the seat on the later models were much better. On the Honda parts warehouse website the have the 2002 seat for just under $90. Anyone have an opinion on the later model seats?

 Thanks in advance.  Smiley

I bought a 98 Tourer Jan of 13. Read the same thing about the later models. Bought one on ebay, 2001 like new. Night and day difference. I am sure one of the custom ones beats this one hands down but for the money I have no complaints. I understand one of the better customs requires a stock pan. Maybe one day the money will be there to make that happen. Put 12K on my Gurl and no complaints from my 67 yr butt.

When I was looking at valks I sat on a 99 and thought the seat was as hard as a bleacher. The seat on the 01 that I bought is much softer. I've done 150 miles quite comfortably, the stock hand grips are what make me pull over and take a brake.

Here is the two seats together. 98 Tourer and the newer seat.
Different ride I like the new one (on the bike).
