My Valk allegedly "came from out of nowhere" into the path of a co-worker this afternoon.  Due to the security office' announcement over the P.A., everyone in the building was moving to the front windows as I headed downstairs to inspect the damage and discuss the incident.  How could this happen?  Short folks should NOT be allowed to back a Yukon.

The height of the Yukon rear fender is such that it simply crimped the fender down into the tire.  Luckily the tire did NOT get a bead pinched.

I've already removed the fender and made a quick test drive around the parking lot.  At this impression, the only fatality here is the fender.  From my point, the cheapest fix would be to find an OEM replacement.  I'd appreciate to hear from anyone that has one available.

I'll be riding the other Valk tomorrow, and may simply borrow it's fender until an OEM replacement is found for this one.

Try HDL if you want an OEM in the right color.

Next bet:  Try Pinewall's Salvage yard.

Then:  Take any color & paint it.

Good Luck on your bad luck.

Thanks RJ.

I emailed Pinwall already.  Hopefully they'll have some positive reply.

I'll be able to do a thorough search before work tomorrow.  I'd rather not have to repaint, of course.

Sorry to hear about that, Frank.

Good to hear from you though.

Pinwall's worse about answering email than you are Frank  Wink

I just looked on his store site, a couple of Red and White rear fenders, no fronts...

It looks like front fenders are hard to come by... there's this undented wrong colored one:

  http://tinyurl.com/mwaq9z   <------ eBay link, currently $75.00 + $15.00 shipping...

New one from HDL: over 500 bucks...

Try ValkyrieBlingandmore.com  Micheal had a few front fenders at Inzane. I believe one was red/white.

How bad is the fender? I had a guy back up one of our Fire units into mine. Crunched about 6-7" of the front down. Took it to local body shop and can't tell anything happened to it. Cost me $100. (price may vary depending on who you know.)

So they hit you, so cost shouldn't be as much of a factor (they're insured, right?) as availability. I'd let the adjuster find you one. Usually with motorcycles they replace parts, not repair them. At least that was my experience with one accident I've had, where they replaced a Champion hardbag when another rider rear ended me at a light. (an MSF instructor)

Mike at Inzane had a Red and white fender. Valk Bling or something like that.
