Was riding the bike home from work today....riding in traffic, check speed-o....ok...I'm still under the speed limit. Pass a truck once out of town to enjoy the ride home....looked to see how fast I was going and boom......Speed-O said....ZERO MPH......

I really need a financial break on fixing this bike up. Seems like every time I fix one thing, something else breaks or needs replacing. Shoot, I'm going to need to find me a 2nd job just to be able to buy parts.

Now to try and figure out what's wrong with the speed-o

If it is a standard or tourer, it is probably a busted inner cable.  They are about $6 I think you can swing it.

I went for a ride today to two job sites and then a pleasure lap around my favorite road in town.  Nothing went wrong, the phat gurl ran best she ever did and one of my customers asked if she could take a picture............for every this broke or that farted post there are a hundred like the one I just did of nothing but pleasure.  Just had to say it because there is just not enough good things said about the bike lately. 140K miles and still runs and looks like new.  I have had many bikes and several with some years and some miles.  The difference is, you could tell the other ones had those miles and years.....not my Valkyrie.

ChrisJ,
Don't get me wrong....I love my Valk and I wouldn't trade nor sell it for anything. I'm just struggling financially and I truly need this bike to be "fine" for a while. Smiley
