2014 Valkyrie 1800

Seminole, Florida

« on: March 23, 2014, 01:44:56 PM »

I promised Sherry this pic of her new bike and then found some that were not duplicates of Bronxboy's post, so here they are.
Sherries new bike, someone brought this for her to the ride as a gift, can't remember who but that was cool cooldude

Do these Beetlebags make my but look big?

TJ's  solo Interstate, looking good.

Rogers new Valkyrie Trike. Very Nice Roger, looking good. (Nice Floorboards)

Terry & Iris, spotless Valkyrie & Triumph Rocket, Thanks for calling this ride.

I heard a metal on metal noise, not associate with the engine on the ride home. My rotors were not hot. Any ideas? I'm thinking beginning of left rear wheel bearing failure. If this is correct it will be my fourth and I will go to a double bearing mod. Gotta be something causing this?

Thanks Doug for posting them.  Without hearing the metal on metal noise it's hard to guess.  I would start by rasing it on your floor jack and put a jack stand underneath the swing arm in order to get the angle correct for normal riding and then rotate the rear wheel.  If nothing there same with the front wheel.

You've got to consider the source Eddie.  Smiley  It's easier to dish it out than take it but I'm O.K. with a little ribbing.  John is usually a good sport about it.
I kinda think the engine does look sort of like an inline tractor motor myself, and it has torque like one too.  cooldude

You're so right Terry, we've been doing it for quite a few years now. Just had to zing Iris as well, didn't want her to feel left out.  Grin  I hate it when I have to miss out on a good gathering like this one, especially at Conestogas.

Thanks for the pics Doug. And thanks for the floorboards that feel even better than they look.
Hopefully you find your problem and it is a simple fix.
