A temporary fuel supply is something I have looked into but never bought or fabricated.  I'm not interested in buying some expensive gadget and am more attuned to building it myself if I can save some bucks.  I have an old light fixture stand that I use for painting so that could be used as a hanger.

Anyone have a good and cheap way to make a temporary fuel supply for the Valkyries vacuum system that is easy to set up and use?

I use a lawn mower tank and mount it to a 2x4  c-clamped to a saw horse. I put a shut off valve in the line.

I have a 1 gallon gas can with a petcock in the botton hanging on a handlebar.

It is what I used for years when I was building race bikes for my kids.

It will work as vacuum, fuel pump, or drip.

I'd say I have had it for over 40+ years.

My oldest bike racer is currently 53, he started racing at 8 years old, so it is at least 45 years old.    I know I've never seen another can like it in many many moons now.    I got it at a hardware store that sold out for like $.50 at auction.

Not as apt to get bent up if dropped.

I use a Motion Pro fuel vessel similar to this one, but it's much more expensive.  coolsmiley

Dammit, I just bought one on ebay for $37.29. Should have looked at Amazon, could have saved $5.00 bucks.
