Did they remove the little retainer wall around the buoy?

Last time I was there, you could only park long enough to get a picture and the little LEO would run ya off the site.

I was going to ask the same question on the retainer wall.
Also, you must have been there early cause usually there are a lot of people there so it makes it kind of hard to take a pic all by yourself and even harder to get the bike in there.

Did you photoshop the pic  2funny Evil

Glad you guys made it back safe  cooldude

Great Pictures And I Am Glad You Got To Make The Trip On The Bikes Instead of The Cage. This Is One Of The Things On My Bucket List. I Have Lived In Florida All Of My Life And I Have Only Been There Once And It Was A Drive Through And Back Home. Maybe Next Time I Will Be Able To Relax And Enjoy The Scenery.

Looks like y'all had a great trip Rick. Glad you got there and back safe and sound. Kudos to Bill for helping you guys out. He's the best. I have done the ride on a bike twice, several times on 4 wheels and once on a boat from Fort Meyers to Key West. I love that town, wish it hadn't gotten so "sweet". Once in your life, you need to go in October...just saying!!

Glad y'all got there and back safe and sound and the repurposed water pump became available thanks to Grumpy.  I guess my only comment would be "you only took two pictures?" We have only been there once, I think it was 1971 when I was in Miami working for Western Electric.  We drove down there on Sunday and I think everyone decided to leave that afternoon at the same time and we were getting passed on both sides.  Scary.  That was before the new bridges/highways were built.

The retaining wall is still there - We where there just after sunrise to get the bikes up and close.

All just in time before people started coming in droves.

I was in Marathon and rode down to Key West on the 27th,28th, and 29th. I probably passed you as you were headed in. it was beautiful. Only dodged a few rain clouds.
