Daniel I have been working on my front brakes to make the bike safe for GOTF.  THe right side pin hanger is stuck and I drilled it and tried an extractor to get it out.  The extractor broke off in the head of the pin hanger.  I am taking the caliper off to be able to get to this hanger.  If you are around I would appreciate some help in getting this thing out of the caliper so I can install new pads and bleed the system.

I am sending you a PM with my cell.

If you end up needing a right side caliper assembly I have one I bought on ebay and will let go for what I paid, $30.

Yah, Mase, responded to your PM...if you're talking the pin that holds the pads in, I'd go ahead and grab that other caliper from Baron...I don't have any spare parts that would apply and I'm not certain we could get the pin out if the extractor is stuck in there...it's hardened and can't be drilled...there may be ways...but it may tear up the caliper...would be good to have one ready...or just swap it and fix the other one if possible later...

I'd think that if you take the caliper off, you should be able to get a pair of vice grips on that pin and start it backing out.

Vice Grips and drill the pin out from the hex hole.  I tried to select a bit that was the same size as the pin and drilled mine out.  Only damaged a few of the threads, so it went well.
I pookie the shiznitz out of them every time I pull them off with antisieze.  That little black dust plug cover too.

Pookieing and Shiznitzing are both excellant PM practices.  I've personally found that applying copious amounts of mumpuck prior to assembly works wonders as well.

A damn fine bunch of professionals on this site!

I am well versed in the redneck engineering terminology as pertains to the Valk.  What is this mumpuck of which you speak?  It must be like that elusive "snow" some of you northern guys talk about, right?
