After Reading so much about hydrolock and the potential damage it causes, i decided to do it, bought all the parts needed, consulted John Schmidt who provided all kinds of info including Desmog. John even offered to get it done at his place even his back is hurting him bad lately provided i do most of the work under his supervision. What a great guy, always there with answers to all my questions.
However another hero named Jack  AKA Flrider had already stepped in with his hands on experience and kindly offered to help as well, rode to his house today at 11 am and he went to town with it in his garage soon as the fat girl cooled off, did the desmog first got rid of all  clutter and freeze plug the rest of the openings, i was just assisting with handing him tools and such and jb weld the rest. we went out for a bite and came back and he started on the Pingel petcock , the fuel filter and the Dan Marc electric shut off installed, put everything back and we were done by 7pm. Great day with another great fellow valk rider, what a great bunch of folks we have on this forum in general and this FL board in particular, i cant stress this enough,
So BIG THANKS TO  you Flrider for everything you did for me today, thanks to John and to everyone who has been of help and assistance to any other member, you guys ROCK
THANK YOU

Is there a complete parts list available here on the board?  I checked and found many references but not a complete current list for the desmog and the pingle... If so, please point me. If not, do you mind sharing?

Thanks in advance.

I have a list of parts for the pingel petcock mod, here it is. the Desomg we did didnt require any Kit, courtesy of John Schmidt way of doing it. some JB kwik weld and freese plugs.
Here is what you need: Courtesy of Flrider

Dan Marc

Pingel ( this is the cheapest place I found but do a search, you might find a cheaper one)

Golan fuel filter ( I found it at the same website as the Pingel and that saved me some shipping, it is the smallest of the three filters pictured)

Glad I was able to help brother.
Just trying to pay it forward, I have gotten help from others here ( Jeff K, John Smith and Mark T ) and it was my turn to lend a helping hand.
It was good that we could work out a day that we were both off.

Hope we can get together for a ride in the near future.

all day i have been thinking about asking for some help with links for these parts, low and behold you guys got them here for me.. i am new to this awesome machine and want to do as many of the upgrades and preventative maintenance as possible. i was thinking to get a lot done in one shot while the tank was off i also would like to replace the air filter and possibly the clutch slave cylinder was suggested at that last gathering in Alachua, any help to where to find these parts would be greatly appreciated as well. any other suggestions as to what else a guy may want to change or p/m ?? i don't mean to divert this thread, sounds like you guys where very helpful and greatly appreciated.
