Kickstand retainer bolt broke on 99 interstate replaced it and ordered new switch that mounts on kickstand. I have seat, side covers, coolant over fow tank and cb all removed. What is the secret to finding, and reaching where the harness plugs in. I have used a good flashlight and tried to follow the harness to where it goes. Once it turns and goes towards the battery area I cannot see ore reach it. I have a diagram that shows the plug under the frame cross bar on the left side but it's nowhere to be found. I don't want to keep taking things off and not know what i am doing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks fast streak, Eddie

Success, after much knuckle busting and sweat found the plug on the harness. Unfortunely honda sold me the wrong kickstand switch that I had to special order. After some discussion they agreed to order another one overnight shipping on their dime. We'll see if I get it tomorrow . Faststreak.

When I order parts at my honda dealer I look up the parts fiche for my bike before hand and get the part numbers first. That way I can be sure I get the rigt part.
