A carb synching party that is!  Jack(Flrider) and Larue are getting me out of bed before the crack of noon for this. Seems Jack either has a bad Twinmax gauge or isn't setting it up right. So he's bringing his bike over and we'll use mine, then we might sub his into my tube setup and check it. As for Larue, seems he was tightening everything in sight when trying to get rid of his popping exhaust. It happened to include "those little phillips head screws with paint on them, they run through a spring. When I went to tighten them the bike started to run real bad."  Grin I wrote back and told him he had discovered the screws used to sync the carbs. So tomorrow we have a "sync" party....if it doesn't rain. Sure hope it doesn't, I hate getting up early when I don't have to.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Grin

Jess, a few years ago I tried to get Rita to let me put up a special mailbox. I wanted a picture of an old outhouse painted on it, then underneath have "The Schmidt House" inscribed. That was a rather short conversation.  Grin

Great minds think alike.

Unfortunately, a creative sense of humor is not always appreciated.

I suppose this beautiful cedar mailbox would be out of the question.

I've been watching the weather, had a short burst of rain about an hour ago. Hope the guys watch it in the morning, it can always be rescheduled....especially since I have quite a few days off next week.  Grin

Weather cooperated somewhat today and we made it to John's around 10:30 before it started raining.

Got to check my Twinmax Balancer  and we synchronized the carbs.
My Twinmax is fine and go to see how it was done so I should be able to do the sync next time I need to.

John also checked Larue's carbs and go them synced as well. Still trying to figure out a popping on the right side exhaust.

We chatted and worked on the bikes, told some stories and even got to meet Rita ( the boss)  Grin

John and I failed at our attempts to talk Larue out of some of his shinny chrome parts, we kept telling him his Valk would ride better and faster but he did not go for it  Evil Grin

Larue and I left John's place with a light rain, it picked up some more while we were on I-4 and kept raining all the way to Kissimmee.

Traffic was horrible both ways, I usually go to work at odd hours so I miss all the congestion.
Between school buses, people commuting to work in the morning and the forever going construction on John Young Pkwy, it took a lot of time and patience

Would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to John and Rita for letting us come over to his man cave so we could get our carbs synced. cooldude

Glad you guys got it in today Jack. Weather was pretty lousy all day. John and Rita are two great people that I feel privileged to know. John has been a big help to me in so many ways.

Best part about it all beside seeing Rita again is the riding stories  john have had.most favorite to me was the garage opener he has under the bike seat and  how much his buddy was baffled by its inconvenience...etc etc very funny, we had a great time watching john doing what he does best and also fun even riding back in the rain...
thanks for getting up before ten for us  cooldude
