Seems I'm always forgetting to turn my turn signal off and has "almost" caused me a bad situation with on-coming cars. The little light on the headlight just doesn't get my attention. I bought a light/beeper and hope this will give some added audible attention. Has anyone else tried this?

We Had One Of Those On Sherrie's Bike And I Could Hear It Pretty Good, Even Though It Was In The Headlight Housing. I Have Made It A Habit Of Mashing The Turn Signal Switch Periodically To Make Sure That The Blinker Is Off. Now It Comes Naturally After Riding Valkyries And Goldwings For Over Twelve Years.

One of our bikes has one of these. It's not audible unless you listen closely with the engine off. Sometimes I think she lets it run on purpose. http://blinkerbuddy.com/

my bike came with this installed in the headlight housing and has been useful on occasion, it is audible enough at stop lights that people look around for somebody backing up..!!

I used to have an audible reminder....Rita. "HEY DUFUS, YOU LEFT YOUR TURN SIGNAL ON!" Usually accompanied by a slap on the side of the helmet. Really helps develop good habits re. your turn signals. Since I installed Harley controls I don't have that problem. Those controls have separate circuits for the turns so it lets you use a device that self cancels, you can't use it on OEM controls like Honda's infamous method.

Bill gave me a Blinker Buddy a while back that he had won at an Inzane I think he said. I have not installed it but really need to. I do forget to cancel the signal occasionally and the outcome of that can be serious. I really seldom use it unless it seems necessary for the situation. That, by itself, is a bad habit. I try to leave my thumb on the button when I do use the turn signals and that helps. May be time to get that installed. I didn't know it beeped too. I thought it just vibrated. Maybe I'll put it on the back seat.....

Jeff it doesn't make a noise that you can hear with the bike running.

Here is an option that is often used with the VTX, I think it should work on the Valk also. If you scroll down, you can see the beeper only option. http://glensvtxgarage.com/turnsignal_beeper.htmlA friend of mine had it and I think he took it off after a while. I think the beeping sound got to him, it can be a little annoying. He used to tease all the time and make the beeping sound when he was backing up his bike into a parking spot

Just go to Radio Shack and get a buzzer that operates off 12vdc. They have various types, large and small. I've seen them mounted under the seat on top of the battery cover, in the headlight, where you can hear it after testing it for volume.

Too late! I already ordered it. Let everyone know how it works out. If it doesn't there are other options as you mentioned.
