Wife's Magna was running fine, but when she stopped for gas, the bike wouldn't re-start.
All electrics work, except for the headlight and starter button.
I jumped the solenoid, and it fired right up.

It has a new battery, and I checked the fuses before jumping.

I haven't looked at it yet, but I'd be grateful for any insights.

Dirty starter button.

Take it apart, be careful not to lose samll springs and the like, clean it up, slightly bend the contacts out and reinstall.  Should be good for another 30,000 miles.

I know the Shadows have the same starter switch problem as the Valkyrie. With your light being out, and the starter not working, this would be the one I would start with first.

Clean the starter switch.

Yep - exact same problem with my 3G Magna. Good advice here.

Most likely the start switch as mentioned above. However, my Magna had a nack for the battery leads vibrating loose. I learned to always pull the seat first and tighten the leads before going down other rabbit holes. I should have learned to put a little thread locker on there.

Loved that bike.
