OK gang, I believe that my starter switch is acting up on my standard, ie, it won't start.  I followed the instructions here;

http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/VSGPages/starterbutton.htm

And don't seem to have the same housing referenced, I don't seem to be able to remove the bottom half of the housing without removing the cables.  My cables run up through the housing so dropping it without removing cables appears to be impossible.

Am I missing something?  A derr moment maybe?  Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

On a Standard you can drop the bottom of the switch housing to get to the starter button, but on the I/S the cables come into the housing from the bottom.
I would think that you have an Interstate housing on your Standard. You can still get to the button, but is a little harder with the cables attached. Be patient, you can do it without removing the cables.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

That would 'splain why it looked just like the one on my IS.

Thank you Eli
