New To Me August 2013

North Houston

« on: May 02, 2014, 04:38:36 PM »

I made a small ride around Anderson Tx today and the weather is great. I'm looking for a 200+ mile excuse to go somewhere tomorrow . The picket museum restaurant in Woodville is a great destination if you have never been there. I've been there once and loved it . I am  in Spring and can meet anywhere on the north side of Houston.  From Spring, Woodville is 90 miles but I don't think I will go strait there. Too many good east tx roads. Don't have a meet up location picked but plan to be on the road by 7AM. To nice to set at home.

No one else responded so I am heading out on a big loop. Plan to go up to Trinity and make a loop back to Woodville on 287.

Marcus looks like your alt. may have left the building. Sure glad it lasted for the ride last sunday. It wouldn't have looked good around all those other brand bikes. Holler if you need a hand.

Gave the alt a bench test and it failed.
Found a good way to spin the unit. I used a wire cup brush on a drill. With the drill in high gear it spins pretty fast. I think the drill is rated about 650 RPM.  only got 1 1/2 volts without a load. IT is shot.
