Good afternoon all.   On my Interstate I have two helmet holders under the rear trunk,  operated by the ignition key.  I figured they must be OEM as the key unlocks them.  After using it on a ride Sunday I guess I didn't close it completely  and lost the metal T shaped piece that goes through the helmet D ring.   Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement?  I didn't see it in the parts diagrams at HDL.   Thanks as always!

Both my Bell helmets don't really need that T-shaped piece you speak of. With a little finagalin the square metal pieces on the helmet strap fits where the end of that t would normally go. AND the helmet is still locked thataway.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

You can also go out and buy a cheap box/open end wrench, that the box end will fit through your helmet D ring, and open end wont, and then into the helmet holder.

As already mentioned, it is an aftermarket item.

GW has nice ones of a motorcycle.

It is really nice having those shinny chrome things there dangling in the sun. Makes you more noticeable.

Not sure, but I think he's talking about the two helmet holders under the I/S trunk. Embarrassed
If so, those are OME. I've never seen an I/S without them unless they were removed. tickedoff 2funny

Yes, the helmet hook is OEM. But he mentioned the metal T shaped piece, which is the aftermarket one.
