Got a trip coming up in a week and rode this weekend to get the last few miles out of my front tire. I already have the new tire (double darkside). When i went to remove the front wheel I noticed oil all over the timing cover....both sides! Both fork seals are leaking!! GREAT.....FANTASTIC......#*%$@ Well I guess in a way it's a good time to do the work since I'll already have the wheel off....just didnt expect to be messing with fork seals so close to my trip. I've seen either a video or instructional how-to on seal replacement, but don't remember where. If anyone has info on how to do this or a link....PLZ LET ME KNOW>>>ASAP!! (I have a new set of seals with the PN: 001-FOS made by Pyramid Parts) I'm wondering if these are for the Valk.

Well you can look at like the best timing, since your front wheels coming off. By the way any specs on your bars? They look good I think.

I sent you a Word file on changing seals without special tools (if you aren't changing springs). Ignore the prices, it's an old article. Fred.

The Valkyrie looks like a souped up bar hopper.... maybe with some good wheels and tires and bags and floorboards and................

I have a lanyard attached to my GPS, which I wrap around the handle bar before driving off. Just incase of the above suicide attempt.

Another thing I just noticed; just like the Valk Std, the new goldwing valk has no rear guard for a tip over.
The F6B does have a rear guard.

I agree it does look like my Ducati from the front . And it has a single sided swing arm .I think the Japanese engineers had some influences from Italy.

(ThreadHijack) If I want to go faster than my 1500 F6s are capable of, I just throw a leg over one of my Concours 14s. (/ThreadHijack)

Have yet to see any stats on performance? You got any? Compared to the 97?

There was one article, that I can't find that said: New Valkyrie 107 hp, 120ft lb tq. 750 lb curb weight. 1836 cc's
No 1500 Valkyrie will not be able to stand up to that - regardless
The 1500 Valkyrie can't even match a stock Goldwing 1800.
Myself, I don't care. I love my Valkyrie and I'm glad Honda keeps the Valkyrie name alive.

Have yet to see any stats on performance? You got any? Compared to the 97? A bunch of us were splitting up at the South Carolina line on a ride a couple of years ago. Like guys do, lots of people nailed it when they left and roared off across the bridge and up the hill to Georgia... When the guy on the newer ST1300 took off, it was like he had a Saturn IV rocket motor compared to the guys on Valkyries. You could see how much faster he took off. I bet the new Valkyrie is like that. It felt like that, and I didn't really nail it... -Mike
