I have a 2001 standard and for some reason it seems that the right side cylinders have quit firing? It is intermittent. What can I do?

What has recently been done ?

Since these monster use a waste spark ignition system I would doubt there is anything wrong with the ignition.

I would suspect the fuel system, low jets in particular.

So, yesterday it was running beautifully, you didn't do anything to it, then today it's not running right? More info please.

Is the tank almost empty?  Could be filling the left bank since it sits on the low side, but not the right.  Fill it with fuel and see if that helps.

I don't believe it is possible to not have spark on one bank and the other is fine. Most likely is fuel delivery. Could put a strong dose of carb cleaner and run it below 2000 RPM for a few miles. I use a whole can of Seafoam to a tank of gas and run it out. Need to keep the rpm's low so the low speed jets get the stuff. cooldude

Yes, it sure reeks of a fueling problem and being the right side

cylinders even emphasizes that it is a fuel problem.

Reason: The right side carburetors are on the high side when

it's on the side stand.

Mega doses of an additive (experiment with different kinds) over a long period of time should clear it up.

Start using non-ethanol enriched gasoline to avoid these kind

of problem in the future.
