Removing entire Rear fender

Howdy all,
My Standard is going for paint very shortly and I'm stripping it myself, front fender and tank will be handy.
Looking at the rear fender and yeah it's in 2 pieces, rear bit I understand I have to disconect lights etc from the wiring harness but can't see anything on the front section of the rear fender ? I'm gathering the side rails etc will have to come off ?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Cheers

Yes remove the fender rails by removing the upper shock mount. The rest should be pretty straight forward. Don't forget the boxed nut behind the fender. It's loose inside a nut cage.

There are two bolts in the plastic battery box
.
Be very careful removing the rear plate/signal, the taillight and the terminal/connector between the fender sections.
Take pictures where all the grommets go and be sure you
disconnect the battery first

What Momz said.
You don't actually have to take both chrome rails off. I only took one side off....and possible didn't need to do that.
There's two bolts that bolt thru the battery box to the front section of the rear fender. Take those out. Front section of the rear fender comes out.
Putting it back in and getting those bolts started was a bigger pain for me than taking them out.
It's easier to take the tail light section off of the rear fender section once you've removed the rear fender section.
