Still a work in progress, but getting there.

And just for grins, what it looked like in Feb when I bought it.

Fast black is right, don't know if it was the carb rebuild or that I used the is icu or what, but it definitely has more power that it did. Just rolling on at 35 in fifth really throws you back in the seat. Kinda surprised me to say the least.

VERY impressive, Bill! That can't be my old windshield, can it? It's too clear and pretty like the rest of the scooter. How'd you do that? Can't wait to see it up close.

Bit lighter and easier handling that an Interstate.

Where'd you get those nice exhaust tips.   Roll Eyes

How's progress on the old hands?

Nope, a couple weeks ago, Fiend in missouri needed a starter and alternator, I had a couple spares here. We worked out a swap and some cash , it is a national cycle switch blade, with the quick release mounts. Brand new in the box, lot smaller shield, but so far I like it.

Hands are not too bad, still stiff but useable. the right has one finger that will never work right, but lucky any of them work.

Good to hear.  Using them daily is probably the best medicine.

I now wake up with a middle finger locked curled/bent and have to reach over with the other hand to straighten it out (pop).  WTH is up with that?  Aging sucks.

Got that right, most of my problems are old age. The injuries have caused some arthritis to rear its head, and the left now has carpel tunnel. Oh well I guess as long as I am looking down at the grass not up every thing is good.

Good looking bike!  The gauges look really good.  I'd like to know what kind of license plate frame you've got there.

I truthfully cannot remember who made the license frame, I bought it years ago from west coast cycle in tamps. It is one of the survivors from the Interstate.

Yep was a freebee, I just paid for the paint, he would not accept any thing for the work. Great guy to have next door.

Bought the gauges from Amazon, they are 1 1/2 in gauges. But no pods are available for that size, so I made them on the lathe. The oil gauge is here...

I plan on it, has slowed me down a lot. Not taking any chances, getting too old and take too long to heal.

Still a work in progress, going to build an exhaust system for it, working on a solo rack for the back fender. But it is ride able, and I mostly am too. Going to do some exploring South east of here for a Q when all the bunch gets back in the flatland's.

Hey Bill,

It looks GREAT! cooldude  I think she has a lot of the sould of the old Red & Black IS (RIP) Sad

I am totally with what John said: namely, keep it up on two wheels! You know that the Black and Chrome are the fastest, so be careful. I'm looking forward to riding with you. Maybe the GOTF next spring? Just moving out to Deland, so a little closer to you and Murph. cooldude

That is great that you will be closer. The GOTF was on my list, but did not make it this time. I am planning on it for next year. We have a couple others around here wanting to make it also.

Did you recently order those Motsen guages from them or are they some you already had laying around?

Reason I ask is I had sent them an email asking to order and never heard back....nadda, zip, nothing.

They are not Motsen, they are Equus gauges I purchased from Amazon, I made the pods for them on the lathe. They are 1 1/2 in gauges and electrical.

Hope that helps.
