Today Bert had an accident with the Bumble Bee.  Bert is in the hospital in Asheville, NC
He broke both bones in his right leg, and ankle.  He had surgery tonight, to put a halo on his leg. More surgery to come when swelling goes down, probably Monday.  Please remember Bert in your prayers.

Oh no! That's awful. Let us know if you want us to get the Bee home for you. We have space in our trailer and would be happy to pick it up wherever it is, then drop it off at your place in FL when you're ready for it. We'll be here through the week. I'll PM you our contact info. One less thing for you to worry about. Keep us updated and let us know about visiting. Maybe we can roll up 20 strong in the hospital parking lot so Bert can hear it from his room and have one thing to smile about.

Thoughts and prayers for both Bert and Sherrie from us.  angel while I am sorry to hear it happened, I am happy it was not worse. Broken bones heal with time and care, and I am sure Bert is getting that in spades from the Pros at the hospital now, and Sherrie later.

I just pulled into a hotel in Fredricksburg, VA, and finally got to check the board. This is not what I was hoping to find. The silver lining of course is that there are lots of FL folks there to help with logistics.

Sad to hear!  Saw the post about the surgery and transition to healing, heal quickly.  Let me know if there is anything you need now from back near home or when you get back... I,e, off loading of the bike, or whatever... etc!
