Chrisj CMA CR3M wrote in another thread (http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,6684.40.html), "...I personally believe the man got elected by less than honorable means and does not have the best interests of the United States of America at heart...".

Now, through all 8 years of Bush/Cheney digging the USA ever deeper into a hole I never heard anyone question whether Bush had the best interests of the United States of America at heart.  He may have been called a dope, a cretin, a moron... but never was his patriotism called into question.

And yet, we now have Chris making this statement that suggests Obama is not patriotic and it makes me wonder:  What in the world is he talking about?  If President Obama doesn't have the best interests of the United States of America at heart, then what are his motives for being in office?  Is he a Manchurian candidate?  Is he about to sacrifice all 300 million of us to an ideology (like the neocons actually tried to do)?  Really, Chris... what is in his heart?  What is motivating him?

So, Chris... I'd really like you to explain yourself how it is you can slur and smear our president by suggesting that he does not put America first.  I'd like to know what evidence you base your belief and observation.

And while you're at it, you also made the accusation that "the man got elected by less than honorable means".  What do you mean by that?  What evidence do you have of fraud or misrepresentation?  Are you saying that the largest margin of victory since Bush senior stomped Dukakis in 1988 was fraudulent?  I really wish you would back up these charges; otherwise it is just one more example of an unsupported smear.

A saying about the pot calling the kettle black comes to mind at this time...

Mr. Eagle...you took EVERY opportunity to "smear" our past president, call him names, and question his patriotism on a regular basis!  (And you STILL do)!

I have never chimed in on a political post, but in this case, I believe it was warranted.  I really don't see how you can call someone out on something that you have done yourself.  The word hypocrite also comes to mind.

Have a nice day.

Wow...never a dull day here on the VRCC, thank goodness I have this as a diversion from the otherwise boring architect stuff I do all day long!!  Everyone please take a deep breath and join in with Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler as we sing the classic from "West Side Story"!!

Jim L, I don't see any signs of anger here so far. Strong Eagle spoke his piece and Lori spoke her piece

Wayne, I agree with Motormama about the past.  You have your opinion about our current president.   I have an opinion about our current President.

We can only agree on disagreeing.  Anything more than that is a waste of time .

I not only believe he is unpatriotic, I believe he has plans for this country that will utterly undo it!!
This country does not need to be "re-made"! The Constitution of the United States needs to be followed to the letter and in the intentions of it's authors.

A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.

Samuel Adams, letter to James Warren, February 12, 1779

I believe he us an "internal invader" as refered to in this quote by Samuel Adams, universal health care, obama bucks for clunkers, NEA grants for pornography, on and on and on. Our country will never be the same and that is a shame in MY OPINION............

again....i find this SOOOO amusing. When Bush was in office....the "left" couldn't spare a minute in their constant bashing of EVERY thing he ever did. it just went on and on and on......

Now, the shoe is on the other foot. And of course, the left is crying "why....why....why". or saying "why can't we all just get along". Why can't you support this President.....etc.

Again, not saying either side is right. Not saying which side i'm on (though MOST who know me, already know the answer to that.....). I'm just saying i find it SOOOOOOOOOO amusing (and yet sad)....that now......the shoe is on..........the other foot............and...............well..............

Hey Sugarbee.............. You can remove half the finger for the black paint, but put half of that half back for the trike.   Grin

Just letting everyone know that they/we are all freakin' nuts and in the same freakin' boat!  That pic is of a Jewish guy, married to a black chick, with a bi-racial kid, who celebrates Christmas and Chanukah, working for a German company, quasi-republican (probably more libertarian than anything), from the north, on some mountain in the south, riding with a bunch of Christians, riding Valkyries of all colors, shapes, and wheel configurations.

An old Confederate soldier was sitting on a corner, one of the occupying Yankees
walked up to him. The old Confederate looked up and said, "We really kicked
your butts at Chickamauga." The Yankee looked shocked, "My man - the war's
over, we're all one country now, one people!" The Confederate soldier looked back
at him and said, "Well.. they really kicked our butts at Chickamauga."

The men who formed this country warned of the rise of the two party system and the division  it could bring. I think we would all be better off if we did not allow politicians, which most of us agree are not the most trustworthy people, tell us what is best for us and the country. The two major parties have made it impossible to elect anyone with different views, we can all argue about government, it size and cost but one thing is constant, Government has grown steadly since it's begining  and will most likely continue. Why, mostly because it benefits those in power.

Mr SE.......there was a thing we used to call the 10 second rule........It more applies to spoken conversations but in this case I was replying to Willow at the end of a thread.  I was making a point as to why I do things the way I do.

Im sure you dont agree with me, and Im ok with that, not surprised or hurt in any way.

I also cannot see how you could take my own beliefs so personally.

And no Willow has warned against LONG LONG threads, so I really cannot explain why I feel the way I do on here..........
