A big shout-out to all our FL friends who couldn't join us in NC (and especially to Bert!) ... you were missed. We had a great deal of fun on our ride and lunch event today--the weather was something you would see on a postcard, and the roads were something you'd experience on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. 13 bikes made the ride. But almost as challenging as the ride, was the walk up the driveway to our house. The phat ladies parked at the bottom and while some hardy souls chose to hike up, the smart ones rode up in the tractor wagon.
Level parking is hard to find in the mountains:

The hike up is steeper than it looks:

Lunch is served in the dining room and on the deck:

The hikers ridicule the riders on the way back down (what is BillyBoy signaling?):

In defense of those who rode in the wagon, it was a long walk (and the wagon was way fun):

The group who made it through The Rattler:

Jeff made it through unscathed:

ReclaimRoger from Ohio joined us:

A fuel stop at the General Store in Trust, NC which ended up being another sitting-on-the-deck-stop (and heck, why not? We're on vacation):

Meanwhile back at Ground Zero ... BillyBoy said you'd enjoy seeing this custom bike:

Thanks to all who attended ... we had a wonderful time. Hope you enjoyed the mountain back-roads as much as we do.
